Mr. Dallas D. Callahan, age 84 of Martin, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at his son's residence. A private burial will take place in East Side Cemetery, Martin, Tennessee. Dallas Dee Callahan was born March 17, 1939 in Tuscumbia, Alabama to the late Reuben Thomas Callahan and the late Velvet Howard Callahan. He married Mary Ellen Dodds Callahan on September 30, 1955 and she preceded him in death on July 16, 2017. Dallas is survived by his daughter, Ruth (Steve) Cloar of Paris; sons, Thomas Callahan of Greenfield and Johnny (Brenda) Callahan of Brighton, TN; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; also survived by one brother, Rayford (Thelma) Callahan of Martin. Besides his parents and wife, Dallas is also preceded in death by daughter in law, Betty Callahan; sisters, Martha Lou King and Patsy Sue Whitehouse; and by brothers, Thomas Ellis Callahan and Jesse Lee Callahan.
