Dalton Lee Patterson, age 78, of Henry, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at his residence. His graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at Community Cemetery, Reynoldsburg Road, next to Henry County Tabernacle Church and conducted by Joel Turner of Pentecostal Apostolic Chapel in Paris. Named as pallbearers are, Jay Patterson, Jason Parrish, Chris Renfroe, Will Parrish, Matt Parrish, Cale Ellis, Blake Patterson and Jake McBride. Burial will follow services.
Dalton Patterson was born, November 28, 1947 in Paris, TN to the late Earl R. Patterson and Ada Blanch Francisco Patterson. He is survived by wife, Linda Gail Haynes Patterson, of Henry; and they were wed on November 16, 1984. He is also survived by daughters, Tonya Patterson (Jason) Parrish and Tammy Lynn Patterson Sutton, both of Paris and LeeAnn Renfroe Ellis of Henry; sons, Dalton “Jay” Patterson Jr., Jerry Wayne Patterson, and Chris Renfroe, all of Paris; sisters, Earline Maddox of Mississippi, Marie Briggs of Paris, Martha Wallace of Camden, and Judy Patterson of Springville; brothers, David Patterson and Jimmy Patterson, both of Paris and Fred Patterson of Camden; also by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Dalton is also preceded in death by sisters, Christine Turner and Thelma Hollingsworth; and brother, Joe Patterson.
Mr. Patterson was a member of the Pentecostal Apostolic Chapel of Paris. He formerly worked as a carpenter, building numerous houses in the area, and was owner/operator of Patterson Towing for some fifteen years.
