A graveside service will be held at Mt. Olivete Cemetery in McKenzie, TN on Monday, December 1, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. Bro. Ed Davis of New Liberty Church of Christ will officiate. Named as pallbearers: Alan Groves, Joshua Story, David Story, Michael Story, Dennis Story and Stephen Story. Visitation is scheduled on Monday from 11:30 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at McEvoy prior to the graveside service. Mr. Story was born in Humphreys County, TN to the late Willie "Bob" Harmon Story and Ruby Lee Crews Story. On April 10, 1959 he married Janice Perry who survives in Buchanan, TN. Mr. Story is also survived by his daughter: Gina Moody of Paris, TN; sons: Dennis Story of Bowling Green, KY, Michael (April) Story of Brentwood, TN; sister: Evelene Van Cleave of Michigan, grandchildren: Alan Groves, Stephen Story, Joshua Story, Lauren Moody, David Story and Andrew Story. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He is preceded by his son-in-law: Jim Moody; sisters: Verlene Rumley and Dorothy Kennon; brothers: Verdell and William Story. Damon was a Baptist by faith. He was a 1957 graduate of Grove High School and worked for Emerson Electric Co. for over twenty years before retiring. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved four wheeling, fishing, getting together with family and friends and playing cards.
