Daniel L. Conroy, age 82 of Paris, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Hendersonville Medical Center in Hendersonville, TN. A private family service will be held at a later date. Daniel L. Conroy was born February 2, 1938 in Chicago, IL to the late Daniel Martin Conroy and the late Adele Hazel Smith Conroy. On August 15, 1982 he married Barbara Ann Ellis Conroy and she survives in Paris, TN. Daniel was born and raised in Chicago, IL. He was previously a resident of Schererville, IN and Oak Forest, IL. He and his wife Barbara relocated from Illinois to Paris, TN in 2003 upon retirement. He was previously employed by Union Carbide in Alsip, IL, Stauffer Chemical in Hammond, IN, and he eventually retired from Martin Oil. Daniel was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Conroy was a Veteran serving in the United States Army. He was a member of the NRA; the Single Action Shooter Society; a 13 year member of the Schererville, IN Volunteer Fire Department; Graduate of the Paris/Henry County Citizens Police Academy; and a National Weather Service Skywarn Trained Weather Observer. Along with his wife, Daniel is also survived by his daughter, Dana L. Conroy (David Dellarocco) of Woburn, MA; son, Daniel J. Conroy of Gary, IN; two step-daughters: Karren (Darrell) Ponton of Kankakee, IL and Jennifer Koehler of Kankakee, IL; two step-sons: Paul Koehler of Altamonte Springs, FL and William (Valerie) Koehler of Kathleen, GA; 1 grandchild; 3 great grandchildren;13 step-grandchildren; 16 step-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marsha Conroy of Schererville, IN; and several cousins. Besides his parents, Daniel was also preceded in death by a brother, James Conroy.
