Daniel L. Smith age 73 of Paris, TN passed away Monday, January 31, 2022, at his residence. His funeral service will be at 4:00 PM Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at McEvoy Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 PM Tuesday at McEvoy Funeral Home and a private family burial will be at a later date. Daniel L. Smith was born June 5, 1948, in Henry County, TN to the late Leslie LeRoy Smith and the late Marcie H. Wimberley Smith. Danny was a member of Birds Creek Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to fish, hunt, ride horses, and play golf. He loved God, his family, and his friends. One of his favorite verses was John 3:16. He would want everyone to know that kind of love. Danny is survived by two daughters: Traci (Keith) Wooley of Jackson, TN and Lori (Rob) Frederick of Germantown, TN; and six grandchildren: Autumn Wooley, Bailey (Madison) Wooley, Colby Wooley, Jackson Frederick, Maci Frederick, and Greyson Frederick. Besides his parents, Danny was also preceded in death by his brother, Gary Wayne Smith on October 30, 2012.
