He was born in Whitlock, TN to the late Prentice Adams and Lillian Johnson Adams. On September 4, 1993 he married Zora Bray Adams, she survives, Puryear. Survived by a daughter: Denise (Daniel Cleve) Adams, Ottawa, IL; sons: Nickey (Joan Hornsberger) Adams, Chicago, IL, Dennis (Rose) Adams, Chicago, IL; step-son: Eddie (Tammie) Roberts, Paris; brother: Stan (Delena Shaw) Adams, Des Plaines, IL; half-brother: B.J. (Tammie) Adams, Murray, KY; grandchildren: Ashley Adams, Hailey Adams, Kayla Seno; step-grandchildren: Dylan (Emilee) Roberts, Paige Roberts; nieces: Ruby Huffman, Becky Adams; nephew: Emmitt (Lisa) Wooten; great nieces: Brittany Cuddeford, Jessica Dannelley and a great nephew: Josh Wooten.
