Darrel Robert Foss, age 75 of Paris, TN passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 13th at McEvoy Funeral Home with Eric Kelleher of Bridge of Hope officiating. A burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 11:00 am until funeral time at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 13th at McEvoy Funeral Home. Pallbearers for Mr. Foss will be Daniel Foss, Landen Foss, David Wagenknecht, Andrew Guy, Adrian Edgar, and Jacob Pierce. Darrel Robert Foss was born August 6, 1948, in Spencer, WI to Anna Schmidt Foss of Marshfield, WI, and the late Laverne Foss. On August 10, 2001, he married Betty Lou Crocker Foss and she preceded him in death on October 13, 2021. Darrel is survived by four daughters: Deanna (Jason) Thompson of Orangeville, IL, Rachel (Adrian) Edgar of Ava, IL, Dr. Pamela (Charley) Schumaker of Paris and Keri Pierce of Paris, TN; son, Daniel Foss of Bruceton, TN; sister, Carol Berghammer of Bovey, MN; three brothers: Larry (Pam) Foss of Marshfield, WI, Jerry Foss of Pittsville, WI, and Bob (Jean) Foss of Stevens Point, WI; fourteen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Besides his father and wife, Darrel was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Kennedy, and a sister, Karen Delis. Mr. Foss was a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked at Kestersons for 20-plus years and was also a dairy farmer. He loved fishing and woodworking, and he loved his grandchildren. Monetary donations may be made in Mr. Fosss name to any United States Veteran Administration.
