Darris McCoy "Mac" Brown, age 76 of Paris, passed away Monday, January 27, 2020 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville. His funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Sam Camp conducting the service. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be at McEvoy Funeral Home after 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 29, 2020 prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Larry Dunlap, John Bruzewski, Bob Hehn, Greg McSwain, Steve Bower, and Bobby Hart. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Foster and Two Rivers Bass Club Members past and present. Darris McCoy Brown was born June 7, 1943 to the late Barney McCoy Brown and the late Ailene Thomas Brown. On May 6, 1962 he married Paulette Wilson Brown and she survives in Paris, Tennessee. Mac is also survived by two daughters: Cindy Smith and Amanda (Chris) Hudgins, all of Paris; and three grandchildren: Nicki (Darren) Watkins, Jesse Hudgins, and Emily Hudgins. Besides his parents, Mac was also preceded in death by three brothers: Johnny Brown, Danny Brown, and Jimmy Brown. Mr. Brown is also survived by his best buddies, Larry Dunlap and Mike Foster. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and a self-employed plumber and electrician. Mac was an avid fisherman, a 40 year plus Life Member of Two Rivers Bass Club and an officer for more than 25 years.
