Mr. Julian Brewer age 89 of Paris died Thursday, Feb. 3rd at Paris Health Care. His funeral service will be Monday at 2:00PM at McEvoy Chapel. The visitation will begin at 11:30 Monday morning and continue until service time at 2:00PM. The burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Paris with Military Honors at the gravesite. Mr. Brewer is survived by his wife, Bette Alexander Brewer of Paris and his son, Webb Alexander Brewer of Memphis. He also is survived by his nephew, Dr.Robert Shackleton of New Orleans,LA. He was a USMC veteran of WWII. He devoted 40 years to public education retiring in 1986 after having served 17 years as Superintendent of PSSD. He was devoted to education and leadership. He was an avid golfer.
