David Allen Carper, age 62 of Buchanan passed away Saturday, June 13, 2020 at his residence. A private family service will be held at a later date. David Allen Carper was born October 28, 1957 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Ernest Gene Carper and the late Dorothy Jean Turner Carper. On April 1, 1978 he married Jeannie Carper and she survives in Buchanan. He is also survived by a step-daughter, Tammy (Gregory) Knotts of Whiteland, IN; step-son, Yancey Boone of Mooresville, IN; three grandchildren: Derek (Meredith) Wykoff, Chad Knotts, and Tyler (Chloe) Knotts; great grandchild, Ryker Knotts; sister, Donna (Rick) Childress of Panama City, FL; Larry (Terri) Carper of Paris, TN; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Back; and a brother, Billy Gene Carper.
