David W. Harner, age 81 of Paris, Tennessee passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023 at his residence. His body is to be cremated and a Military memorial celebration of life with Military Honors will be planned for a later date. David Harner was born October 1, 1941 in Morgantown, West Virginia to the late Joseph W. Harner and the late Geraldine Tussing Harner. He married Doris Bolyard Harner on August 22, 1964 and she survives in Paris. David is also survived by his daughter, Deborah Martin of Paris; grandson, Zach Martin of Princeton, Indiana; sister, Beverly (Van) Vander Haar of Glenwood, Maryland; sister in law, Carol Ashworth of Leesville, Louisiana; brother, Mike (Jill) Harner of Alabama; and his best friend, Pete (Susan) Pawlus of Onancock, Virginia. Besides his parents, David is also preceded in death by his dog and faithful companion, Rudy. Mr. Harner was a 20 year U.S. Navy Veteran who served in Viet Nam. David was a handyman and jack of all trades. He enjoyed marksmanship, gardening, and landscaping. David was a loving husband, father and grandfather who adored his family.
