David "Heavy" Stevenson, age 64 of Buchanan, TN passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, TN. His funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 9, 2021, at McEvoy Funeral Home with Don Campbell of Puryear Church of Christ officiating. Cremation will follow the service and visitation will be after 11:00 AM Saturday until service time at 2:00 at McEvoy Funeral Home. David Stevenson was born March 29, 1957, in Detroit, MI to the late Charles B. Stevenson and Dorothy L. Tomlin Stevenson who survives in Roseville, MI. On April 5, 1989, he married Kimberly Stevenson and she survives in Buchanan, TN. David worked at Dana Corporation for 20 years and has been a large part of Spanky's in Puryear since 2007. In addition to his mother and wife, David is also survived by four sons: Richard (Rachael) Kovacs of Italy, Kevin (Jessica) Kovacs of Colorado Springs, CO, Chris Kovacs of Buchanan, TN, and Michael (Bobbie) Kovacs of Buchanan, TN; three brothers: Andy (Cindy) Stevenson of Roscommon, MI, Chuck (Helen) Stevenson of Warren, MI and Bobby Stevenson of Roseville, MI; nine grandchildren: Kaytlyn Kovacs, Kaleb Kovacs, Hannah Fields, Matthew Kovacs, Shane Kovacs, Hunter Cannon, Ryleigh Kovacs, Heidi Palanki and Michael Kovacs II; special Goddaughter, Lori Koester Scott of Clinton Township, MI; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
