David V. Thompson

David V. Thompson, age 59 of Buchanan passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Henry County Medical Center E.R. A private service will be held at a later date. David V. Thompson was born February 13, 1959 in Germany to the late Irvin D. Thompson and the late Clara Waters Thompson. On November 22, 2005 he married Nell Travis Thompson and she survives in Buchanan. He is also survived by two daughters: Brandi Bradford of Paris and April Overby of Butte County, California; one sister, Charma Elkins of Paris; one brother, Steve Thompson of Big Sandy; seven grandchildren: Angela Travis Stewart, Charity Odom Johnson, Donna Gayle Odom, Gracie Jalean Bradford, Dagen William Charles Bradford, Terri Lanell Bradford, and William Edwin Bradford; two great grandchildren: Rylie Caydance Odom and Manuel Lawrence Corey V; and two nieces: Amber Nord and Shawna Foster. Besides his parents, Mr. Thompson was also preceded in death by a sister, Donna Thompson. Mr. Thompson was a truck driver for many years earning numerous awards in the trucking industry. Most recently he drove for Boyd Trucking. He was a United States Army Veteran and a dedicated family man.
