David was the son of Sue Witherspoon, Paris, TN and the late Robert "Bob" Witherspoon. He is survived by a sister: Janice (Thomas) Buckle, Henry, TN; three brothers: Robert L. (Janice) Witherspoon, Henry, TN, James Witherspoon, Puryear, TN and Terry (Jackie) Witherspoon, Paris, TN. He worked for several years at Terry's Automatic Transmission Shop.
