Deborah Marcus Thompson, age 65 of Paris, TN passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022, at her residence. Her funeral service will be 2:00 PM Monday, September 19th at McEvoy Funeral Home with Dr. John Smith of Fairview Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be after 12:00 PM Monday, prior to the service at 2:00 at McEvoy Funeral Home. Deborah Marcus Thompson was born October 16, 1956, in Greenfield, TN to the late Claude Marcus and the late Mary Corley Marcus. On August 27, 1977, she married Hollis W. "Wayne" Thompson and he preceded her in death on August 6, 2017. Deborah was a Baptist and retired from Walgreens after 30-plus years of service. She was a very loving person who enjoyed Las Vegas. Ms. Thompson is survived by three daughters: Tanya Thompson (Bruce) Mullins of Chicago, IL, Dawn Thompson (Dale) Coats of Paris, TN, and Tracy Thompson of Jacksonville, FL; five grandchildren: Kalynn Mullins, Jessica Roman, Julissa Roman, Alex (Amanda) Thompson, and Jared Franklin; sister, Brenda Parson of Sharon, TN; brother, Jerry Marcus of Rutherford, TN; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
