Funeral service 11:00AM Tuesday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Stairs, Shady Grove Baptist Church and Bro. Jimmy Allison, former pastor officiating, burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation 4:00 - 8:00PM Monday and after 9:00AM Tuesday until service time. She was born in Henry County to the late John Q. and Bessie Irene Provo Parker. On December 24, 1941 she married Tilman Jeffrey Nanney, he preceded March 1961. Survived by daughters: Patricia (Lonnie) Matheny, Paris, Keron (Wayne) Shimkus, Leland, MS; son: Wayne (Margie) Nanney, Paris; daughter-in-law: Barbara Nanney, Memphis; sisters: Laura Beeson, Louisville, KY, Rozelle Wright, Hollow Rock; brothers: Frank (Ruth) Parker, Paris, Walton (Shirley) Parker, Casper, WY; grandchildren: eleven; great-grandchildren: twelve; step great great-grandchildren: seven. Preceded by sons: David Jeffrey Nanney, at birth in 1961, Dr. Ben J. Nanney, four sisters and three brothers. Mrs. Nanney was a graduate of Springville High School. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church for over 70 years where she was the oldest attending member. She formerly worked at Salant & Salant Co. of Paris and at Holley Carburetor until its closing. Della is also survived by a granddaughter and special caregiver: Sharon (Scott) Dominguez of Paris, TN.
