Delora Hampton Davidson, age 91, of Paris, TN, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2010. Her funeral service will be conducted Sunday, March 21, 2010 at 3:00 pm at McEvoy Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday starting at 12 noon until service time at 3:00. Mrs. Davidson is survived by a son, Lavelle (Patsy) Davidson, Paris, TN, grandchildren, Kimberly (Sam) Peebles, Nashville, TN, and Jon (Mandy) Davidson, Springville, TN, great- grandchild, Adam Wesley Peebles, Nashville, TN. She is preceded by parents, George W. and Viola Morris Hampton, husband, Jessie Miller Davidson they were married November 7, 1936 he preceded June 10, 2004, sisters, Viola Mozelle Smith, Linnie Mae Brunetti, Lorena Lee Mayett, brothers, George T. Hampton, Morris E. Hampton, Joseph M. Hampton, Elroy Wilkerson Hampton. Mrs. Davidson was a graduate of Grove High School. After high school she was Rosie the Riveter at Curtis Wright Aircraft from 1943 1945. On June 15, 1949, she started to work at Holley Carburetor as the first female inspector working in shipping and receiving. Mrs. Davidson was also a lifelong member of East Wood Church of Christ.
