Dolores Harvie, age 91 of Louisville, KY, formerly of Paris, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021 in Louisville. Her body was cremated and her services will be graveside at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Olive Branch Cemetery with Pastor Joy Weathersbee of First United Methodist Church officiating.
Dolores Harvie was born April 27, 1929 in Paris, Tennessee to the late James Basil Patterson and the late Flossie Barnett Patterson. On January 1, 1949 she married Hugh Harvie and he preceded her in death in June of 1982.
Dolores was actively involved in many civic organizations here in Paris. Some of these included: Friends of the Library; Garden Club; Historical Society; Republican Women; and Quota Club. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church here in Paris, and loved to sing in the choir and was very active in LLL. Many years ago she loved to participate in the Fish Fry Parade, making her appearance as a clown.
Dolores is survived by four daughters: Patricia (Art) Miron of Philadelphia, PA, JoAnn Halleck of Fayetteville, NC, Jeannette Pickerell of Louisville, KY and Dolores (Len) Kuwalik of Manassas, VA; eight grandchildren: Robert Felter, Jessica Miron, Angela Williams, Heather (Danny) Drake, Anna (Geoff) Birney, Rebekah (Mark) Smith, Micah Pickerell and Joshua Pickerell; ten great grandchildren: Ayanna Williams, Ashton Williams, Ava Williams, Alex Felter, Emma Drake, Kayden Smith, Gideon Smith, Salem Smith, Stevie Smith and Andrew Birney; and two brothers: Charles Patterson and Robert Patterson.
Besides her parents and husband, Dolores was also preceded in death by a son, Hugh Harvie; two sisters: Orpha Jean and Charlotte Fleek; and two brothers: James Patterson and Jack Patterson.
