Donald Wayne Hamby, age 64 of Charleston, South Carolina, formerly of Buchanan passed away December 1, 2019 in South Carolina. His body was cremated and his graveside service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, December 21, 2019 at New Liberty Cemetery in Buchanan with Bro. Jerry Lee officiating. Donald Wayne Hamby was born November 3, 1955 to the late Ray Don Hamby and the late Welda Grace Paschall Dean. He is survived by two sons: Donald Wayne Hamby, Jr., of Buchanan and John Steven (Jennifer) Hamby of Paris; two sisters: Charlotte Inge and Teresa (Paul) Gray both of Paris; brother, Byron (Mona) Hamby of Bridgewater, NJ; three grandchildren: Daria, Lucinda and Molly Hamby (plus one due in May); aunt, Dianne Odom of Buchanan; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friend, Lloyd Roberts. Beside his parents, Mr. Hamby was also preceded in death by a brother, Eldon Ray Hamby; and a brother in infancy, Anthony Hamby. Mr. Hamby was a United States Army Veteran and a member of the AMVETS.
