Mr. Donald Wayne Newton, age 83, of Buchanan, TN, died Saturday evening at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Paris, TN, President Billy Arnold will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date in Greentown Cemetery, Greentown, IN. Mr. Newton was married on May 11, 1947 to Betty Lorene Kimmel Newton she preceded him in death on January 13, 1958, Mr. Newton re married on January 4, 1986 to Glenda Rae Griffith Newton who survives. Mr. Newton is also survived by a daughter; Linda (Gary) Alexander, Greentown, IN, step daughters; Laura Lynn (Norris) Barrow, Dover, TN, Kathryn Irene (Micheal) Fadely, Las Vegas, NV, son; Stephen Wayne (Jane) Newton, Greentown, IN, step sons; John David (Sophia) Burger, Jr., Sauk Village, IL, Raymond Earl (Dawn) Burger, Moorecroft, WY, Jeffery James (Mary) Burger, Portage, IN, step daughter in law; Sandi Burger, Bear River City, UT, sisters; Judith Ann (Melvin) Sumney, Liberty, SC, sisters in law; Gloria Newton, Laqinta, CA, Shirley Irvin Newton, Kokomo, IN, Patty Miller, Carson City, NV, brothers in law; Frank Bud Griffith, Buchanan, TN, James (Kae) Griffith, Griffith, IN. He is also survived by five grandchildren and 27 step grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by parents; James Clarence and Lovina Kathryn Schimmel Newton, daughter; Teresa Ann Youmans, step son; Donald Allen Burger, and brothers; Richard Lee and James Irvin Newton. Wayne was a machinist with the Chrysler Corporation in Kokomo, IN, and member of Point Pleasant Baptist Church.
