Donnie Lee Dodd age 66 of Buchanan, Tennessee passed away on Friday July 7, 2017. A private family "Celebration of Life" will be held at a later date. Donnie was born in Murray, Kentucky on June 13, 1951 to the late Albert Everton Dodd, Sr. and the late Matre Lee Grubbs Dodd. On June 13, 1981 he married Leisa Dunlap Dodd who survives in Buchanan, TN. Donnie is survived by his daughter: Kendall Mitchell, Buchanan; son: Brandon (Tiffany) Dodd, Buchanan; sister: Lonnie Mitchell, Buchanan; brother: Danny (Diana) Dodd, Buchanan; three grandchildren: Emma Claire Mitchell, Myla Grey Mitchell, and Hayes Everton Berry; sister-in-law: Gayle Dodd, Buchanan; his father and mother-in-law: Richard and Betty Dunlap, Buchanan; sisters-in-law: Patricia (David) Todd, Buchanan, Beverly (Kevin) Ray, Buchanan. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends. Donnie is also preceded in death by his three brothers: Logan Dodd, Albert E. Dodd, Jr. and Darren Dodd; and by his brother-in-law: Ruel "Mitch" Mitchell. Donnie worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 31 years, where he was Post Master for both Big Sandy and Dover. He also worked for the Paris Landing State Park for more than 10 years. He enjoyed small game hunting and annual trips to South Dakota, pheasant hunting with friends and family. Donnie was assistant coach with the Henry County Scholastic Shooting Sports Team and went on to be an assistant coach at Bethel University. He continued to mentor at Holly Fork Shooting Complex.
