Doris Graham Crews age 97 of Paris, TN passed away Tuesday January 12, 2016 at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, TN. Funeral service 11:30AM Thursday January 14, 2016 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Collier and Bro. Johnny Farmer officiating, burial will follow at Bevil Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Jerry Garcia, Khalid Al-Ahmad, Clayton Caron, Dennis Graham, Kenneth Graham and Jeff Foster. Honorary pallbearers will be Al Beecham, Frankie Beecham, Lynn Reed, Jerry Beecham, Paula Chesser, Tammy Patterson and Marty Patterson. Visitation 5:00 - 8:00PM Wednesday and after 10:00AM Thursday until service time. Mrs. Crews was born December 22, 1918 in Henry County, TN to the late Raymond Graves Graham and Hattie Lee Muzzall Graham. On July 11, 1936 she married Charlie Adam Crews, he preceded July 5, 1978. Survived by daughters: Glenda McNutt, Paris, TN, Jonie (Will) Cason, Marietta, GA; sons: Dwayne (Billie) Crews, Paris, TN; grandchildren: Jessica (Jerry) Garcia, Lisa (John) Caron, Kevin (Kim) Cason, LeAnn (Jeff) Foster; great-grandchildren: Lydia Caron, Clayton Caron, Taylor Lee Cason, Elijah Cason, Jasmine Al-Almad, Khalid Al-Almad; cousin: Wilda Martin and numerous cherished nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Preceded by a son-in-law: Billy Joe Mcnutt, 2006; sister: in infancy 1915; brother: Roy Grant Graham, 2005. Doris was a farm wife, homemaker and mother. She worked at Henry County Nursing Home for 17 years and her service went beyond her job. She lived for 75 years on part of the Cannon Homestead which has recently been acknowledged as a "Century Farm." Doris had a vast knowledge of gardening and farming, was an avid lover of nature, especially trees. She loved children. She grew beautiful flowers. She was a wonderful cook who shared her talents with all she knew and no one ever left her house hungry. Doris was an expert quilter and seamstress. She was a life-long member of Springhill Baptist Church. Memorials made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908 or the Bevil Cemetery Fund, P.O.
