Dorothy Key Hunt

Dorothy Key Hunt age 88, passed away Friday, February 7, 2025, in Paris, Tennessee. She was born June 23, 1936, in Murray, Kentucky to Bailey and Tempie Key. Dorothy had 3 sisters who preceded her in death: Betty Jo Ross, Georgia Beckwith, and Linda Riggens. On March 2, 1952, she married Aubrey Noble Hunt, and they remained married for 64 years until his passing. Mrs. Hunt spent her life as a devoted housewife and cared for many family members. Her pride was her family, and she loved the titles of mother, granny, and great granny. She was a longtime member of the Paris Nazarene Church and a devoted follower of Jesus. Dorothy is survived by her 3 children: Jan (and Husband Tommy) Swor of Paris, Tennessee, Jerry Hunt of Springville, Tennessee, and Mark Hunt of Fort Worth, Texas; her three grandsons Ryan Swor of Huntsville, Alabama, Jacob (and wife Kacey) Hunt of Clovis, California, and Thomas (and wife Kelsey) Hunt of Arlington, Tennessee. She leaves behind six great-grandchildren: Ian Hunt, Nolan Hunt, Georgia Hunt, and Tristan Hunt of California, and Eli Hunt and Haley Hunt of Arlington, Tennessee Burial will be in Walker Cemetery. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, February 13th at McEvoy Funeral Home led by her grandson, Thomas Hunt.
