Dorothy Perry McClung, age 89 of Paris, TN, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Morning Side of Paris. Funeral service 11:00AM Wednesday McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Banks of Van Dyke Church of Christ officiating, burial will follow at Palestine Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Leon Bumpass, Charlie Neal, Steve Delaney, Bobby Swayne, Troy Buttrey and Jason Smith. Visitation 4:00 - 7:00PM Tuesday and after 9:00AM Wednesday. She was born in Henry County, TN September 7, 1927 to the late Raymond Perry, Sr. and Lorene Owen McBride. Preceded by her step-father Claude A. McBride. On August 23, 1970 she married Loren E. McClung, he preceded December 21, 1996. Survived by a brother: Ray (Nancy) Perry, Paris, TN; nephew: David R. (Cassandra) Perry, Paris, TN; great-niece: Christy (Bill) Anderson, Paris, TN; great-great-nieces: Lauren Anderson, Paris, TN, Lindsey Anderson, Paris, TN; great-great-nephew: Tripp Anderson, Paris, TN. Preceded by a great-nephew: Justin David Perry. Mrs. McClung was a longtime member of the East Wood Church of Christ. She worked and retired as Paris Group Supervisor from South Central Bell Telephone. Dorothy also worked eleven years as Deputy for the Election Commission and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
