Mrs. Dorothy Peebles, age 89, of Mayfield, KY, formerly of the Elkhorn Community, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 in Mayfield, KY. Her funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 10:00 AM at McEvoy Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time at 10:00 AM. Mrs. Peebles is survived by daughters, Patricia (Bruce) Gillespie, Metropolis, IL, and Janet (Sam) Housden, Bowling Green, KY; son Jack (Rebecca) Peebles, Mayfield, KY. She is also survived by three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded by her parents Robert Fredrick and Bessie Roe Kendall; husband, Babe Ruth Peebles, two sisters, and five brothers.
