Dorothy Thomas age 77 of Paris, TN passed away at her home Saturday August 22, 2015. Funeral service 10:00AM Thursday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. William Dunlap officiating, burial will follow at Bevil Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Jim Schmidt, Duane Thomas, Steven Thomas, Brady Schmidt, Elder Ninner and Elder Stevenson. Visitation 4:00 - 7:00PM Wednesday and after 9:00AM Thursday. She was born in Detroit, MI to the late Delmar and Ann Wynn Rogers. On September 12, 1955 she married Lowell Thomas, he survives. Survived by daughters: Karen (Duane) Fleagle, Gilbert, AZ, Kathy (John) Akin, Gilbert, AZ, Kimberley (Barry) Palmer, Gilbert, AZ, Beth (Jim) Schmidt, Cottage Grove, TN; sons: David (Michelle) Thomas, Paris, TN, Mark (Jayann) Thomas, Portland, OR; sister: Linda (Jim) Olsen, Grosse Isle, MI; brothers: Gary (Sarah) Rogers, Gilbert, AZ; grandchildren: twenty three; great-grandchildren: eight; cousin: Jeannie Wynn, Petoski, MI. Preceded by two brothers: Terry Rogers and Rex Rogers. Dorothy was a Baptist by faith. She worked and retired from Henry County Medical Center E.R. She also worked as a personal secretary for the judge in Chandler, AZ. She was an animal lover. Memorials may be made to the Forever Friends Animal Sanctuary, 2900 Buchanan Road, Buchanan, TN 38222.
