Dorris Hamlin Chilcutt, age 87 of Paris, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at her residence. Her funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 7, 2022 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Ed Long of Union Primitive Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow the service in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Donnie Oliver, Kevin Hamlin, Ronnie Peacher, Ben Hassell, Luke Cuthbertson, and Billy Williamson. Visitation for Mrs. Chilcutt is scheduled at McEvoy on Monday after 12:00 P.M. until time of service at 2:00 P.M. Dorris Hamlin Chilcutt was born July 6, 1934 in Henry County, Tennessee to the late Norris Hamlin and the late Lucille Bush Hamlin. She married John Porter Chilcutt on May 29, 1955 and he preceded her in death on June 11, 2021. She is survived by her son, Stan Chilcutt or Paris; grandchildren, Kristen (Luke) Cuthbertson of Paris and Kaylie (Billy) Williamson of Florence, Alabama; great grandchildren, Sophie Cuthbertson and John Adam Cuthbertson; and by her sisters, Lonell Parker of Nashville and Betty Oliver of Paris. Besides her parents and her husband, Dorris is also preceded in death by her son, Steve Chilcut who died August 16, 2021; by her sister, Marie Owens; and by her brothers, Lee Roy Hamlin and Joe Hamlin.
