Wayne Medlock Douglas Wayne Medlock, 78, of Paris, died on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016, at Morningside of Paris. As per his request, no funeral services are planned. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. He is to be cremated, and his arrangments are being handled by McEvoy Funeral Home. He was born on March 21, 1938, in St. Louis, to the late Barne Velt and Ruth DeVoe Medlock. He was married on March 25, 1996, to Patsy Gail Medlock of Paris, who survives him. Medlock worked for, and then was a supervisor at Bellsouth Telephone Company until his retirement after 40 years of service. He also formerly owned his own plumbing, electrical and HVAC business. He was a Christian in faith and was formerly a member and youth leader at Jones Chapel Baptist Church. A family member said that he was a loving husband and father, who was a hard worker his whole life. He is also survived by two daughters: Ashley Rachelle and Hannah Rae Medlock, both of Paris; two sons: Jeffrey Wayne (Brenda) Medlock of Winchester and Douglas Ray Medlock of Bowling Green, Ky.; a stepson: Phillip Larkin (Dedra) Hagler of Kingston Springs; a stepdaughter: Melissa Ann Boudreau of Clarksville; four grandchildren: Riley, Carly and Jaisen Medlock and Jaxon Boudreau; a brother: Richard (Linda) Medlock of Cheyenne, Wy.; a sister: Linda (Jim) Lee of Paris; along with many close cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. He is also preceded in death by a sister: Katherine Davis; and a brother: Allen Medlock. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital or to the Homeschool Legal Defense Action (HSLDA).
