Eddie Forrest, age 61 of Paris, TN passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at his residence. His funeral service will be Monday, February 13th at 2:00 PM at McEvoy Funeral Home, 507 W. Washington Street in Paris, with Rev. Mike Wimberley officiating. Visitation will be at McEvoy Funeral Home Sunday afternoon, February 12th from 12:00-4:00 PM, and after 11:00 AM Monday, before the service. His body will be cremated following the service. Henry County Sheriff's Department will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. Eddie Forrest was born August 11, 1961, to the late James William "Jim" Forrest and Eva Owen (Ron) Dix of Paris, TN. On April 4, 2004, he married Amanda Forrest, who survives in Paris, TN. Eddie was a Veteran of the United States Army. He worked and retired as Sergeant from the Henry County Sheriff's Department. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and gardener. In addition to his wife, Eddie is also survived by two daughters: Mischelle (Jamie) Hoofman of Paris, TN, and Jessica Forrest of Dyersburg, TN; three sons: Lonnie Forrest, Tyler Forrest, and Brandon Forrest all of Paris, TN; five grandchildren: Alex Forrest, Reagan Jackson, Zander Gates, Zoey Gates, and Zayde Forrest; sister Retha Burns of Paris, TN; three brothers: Tim (Cheryl) Forrest of Puryear, TN, and Randy and Ronnie Carter both of Henry County; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Besides his father, Eddie was also preceded in death by a brother, Dean Carter. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to The Shed, P.O. Box 639, Paris, TN 38242.
