Mrs. Edith Maurine Yates Dowdy, age 97, of Park Street, Paris, TN, died Sunday, April 6, 2008 at her residence. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at Walker Cemetery. No visitation is scheduled. She was preceded in 1997 by her husband, Thomas C. Dowdy. A sister-in-law, Velma Yates, Paris, TN, survives. Her caregivers for many years were Nancy and Ed Reager, Paris, TN.
