Edith Vickers Eavenson

Edith Vickers Eavenson, age 83, of Springville, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Tennessee State Veterans Home in Humboldt, TN. Her celebration of life will be from 12:00 until 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at McEvoy Funeral Home.

Edith was born July 17, 1943, in Hardeman Co., TN, to the late Jimmie Curtis and Vernice Lavinia Taylor Vickers. She married Michael Lynn Eavenson on January 4, 1960, and he preceded her in death on February 15, 2006. Edith is survived by her daughters, Jennifer (Glenn) Dotson and Kimberly (Eddie) White, all of Springville; brother, Glenn Vickers of Troy, TN; sister-in-law, Jenny Vickers of Union City, TN; brother-in-law, Greg (Nancy) Eavenson of Chandler, AZ; grandchildren, Laura Matlick (Dave Killop), Christopher Matlick (Elisabeth Myers), TC Myrick, and Collin Wofford (Lynn Castro); great-grandchild, Zo Castro; and by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Besides her parents and husband, Ms. Eavenson was also preceded in death by her brother, William Vickers.
