Funeral service 12:00PM Saturday at the North Fork Baptist Church with Bro. Dwight Mercer officiating, burial will follow at Good Hope Cemetery in Gibson County, TN. Named as pallbearers are Phil Skaggs, Mile' Todorovich, Gary Downey, Bob Docherty, Wayne Moore and Benny Waggoner. Visitation 10:00AM until service time Saturday at North Fork Baptist Church. He was born in South Milwaukee, WI to the late Edward Anton Wetzel, Sr. and Eleanore Gerber Wetzel. On March 6, 1982 he married Shirley Mercer Wetzel, she survives in Cottage Grove. Survived by daughters: Debra (John) Jasper, Braidwood, IL, Laurie Westfahl, Palmyra, WI, Diane (Chuck) Mullenix, Eddyville, KY; sons: Bud Wetzel, Vernon, WI, Johnny Keymon, New Concord, KY, Mark Keymon, New Concord, KY; sister: Mitzie Pringle, Winchester, IL; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law; 2 brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded by a brother-in-law. Mr. Wetzel was a member of North Fork Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving for 6 years. Edward retired from Advance Transport Company, was a member of South Milwaukee Yacht Club and was an owner/driver of modified and midget race cars. He loved woodworking, camping and fishing.
