Ella F. Bostic

Ella F. Bostic, age 90, of Paris, formerly of Deerfield, IL, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Henry County Health & Rehabilitation. Her funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at McEvoy Funeral Home with Dr. Trent Bullock of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be later in Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00 am on Saturday at McEvoy Funeral Home before the service.

Ella Bostic was born December 22, 1935, in Raven, VA, to the late Earl Hagy and the late Mamie Inez Farmer Hess. She married Bernard Bostic on September 6, 1955, and he preceded her in death on July 24, 2014.

Ms. Bostic was a very active member of the First Baptist Church in Paris. Her pride & joy was her cat, Bonnie.

Ella is survived by her daughter, Donna Moist of Crystal Lake, IL; her son, Bill (Kimberly) Bostic of Paris, TN; sister, Patty (Albert) Vencill of Cedar Bluff, VA; brother, Jerry (Judy) Hess of Swords Creek, VA; grandchildren: Brett (Joana) Moist, Trevor (Katie) Wilson and Douglass (Patty) Shank; and great-grandchildren: Everly Faith Moist, Daisy Wilson, and Haylee, Jasmine, and Tristan Shank.

Besides her parents and husband, Ella was also preceded in death by sisters, Linda Lawson and Patricia Hess, and brothers, Joe Hess and Tommy Hess.
