Mrs. Eloise Williams Griffin, age 96 of Paris passed away Monday, November 27, 2017 at her residence. Her funeral service will be 1:00PM Saturday, December 2, 2017 at McEvoy Funeral Home with burial to follow at Hansel Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00AM Saturday at McEvoy Funeral Home. Eloise Williams Griffin was born October 5, 1921 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Noah Cason Williams and the late Bessie Dee Holland. On May 2, 1942 she married Jesse Dale Griffin who preceded her in death on March 20, 1999. Mrs. Griffin is survived by two daughters: Sharon (Reed) Gamble of Florence, AL and Melanie (David) Griffo of Buchanan, TN; three sons: Carroll W. (Kay) Griffin of Jackson, TN, Reggie D. (Sandra) Griffin of Hilton Head, SC, and Ronald K. Griffin of Louisville, KY; a sister, Carolyn Webb of New Johnsonville, TN; fourteen grandchildren: Jennifer (Justin) Oliver, Meg (Damien) Nethery, Scott (Brittany) Griffin, Tobey (Bethany) Griffin, Angela Phillips, Joel (Jason) Wellonen, Paul (Alicia) Stansbury, Brian (Natasha) Griffin, Jeremy (Shelby) Griffin, Joshua (Jessica) Griffin, Kyle (Alexandria) Phifer, Rachel Phifer, Kate (Tyler) Holt, and Hannah Mathis; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Besides her Parents and husband, Mrs. Griffin was also preceded in death by a daughter, Denise E. Griffin Phifer on November 1, 2013; a sister, Iva Nell Watson in 2017; and also a brother, Stanley Williams. Mrs. Griffin was a longtime member of First Baptist Church.
