Emily Kay Jackson Nutting, age 70 of Henry, TN passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Her funeral service will be graveside at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 3rd, at Old Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery near Como, TN with Bro. Rex Buford officiating. There will be no public visitation prior to the graveside service.
Emily Kay Jackson Nutting was born February 24, 1952, in Paris, TN to the late Henry Franklin "Bulldog" Jackson and the late Marjorie Waters Baggett. On April 18, 1969, she married Lloyd Mikel Nutting and he preceded her in death on June 9, 2012.
Emily was a Baptist and she loved gardening, birdwatching, and she especially loved her family.
Emily is survived by two daughters: Patty Jo (Dan) Seymore of Waverly, TN, and Aleesha (William) Christian of Henry, TN; five grandchildren: Victoria (Brandon) Martin, Dalton Seymore, Katie Christian, Josh Mullen, and Melissa Christian; one great-grandchild, Prince McCall Martin; sister, Elizabeth (J.T.) Taylor; brother, Thomas Dewayne (Tresia) Jackson of Buchanan, TN; special friend, John "Lobo" Dearmin of Henry, TN; sister-in-law, Wanda Brotherton of Vale, TN, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Besides her parents and husband, Emily was also preceded in death by a grandchild, Garrett Seymore; sister and brother-in-law, Deborah Lynn (Kenneth D.) French; brother, George Randall Jackson; her grandparents, Anthony & Myrtle Jackson and Thomas & Effie Waters; and her step-father, Daniel Baggett.
Memorials for Ms. Nutting may be made in her honor to the Carroll County Humane Society, 21822 Hwy 22, McKenzie, TN 38201.
