Emma Elizabeth White Martin, age 98 of McKenzie, TN formerly of Buchanan, TN passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at AHC of McKenzie. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 PM Monday, September 26th at McEvoy Funeral Home with entombment to follow in Memorial Cemetery. No services are scheduled. Emma Elizabeth White Martin was born June 14, 1924, in Childersburg, AL to the late Etheridge White and the late Willie Beatrice Pannell White. On June 19, 1951, she married Thomas "Tom" Wilford Martin and he preceded her in death on February 13, 2009. Ms. Martin retired from Henry County Medical Center after 20 years as an L.P.N. She is survived by a daughter, Tonye Petway of McKenzie, TN; two grandaughters: Elizabeth (Bert) Gonzalez-Hudgins of Milan, TN, and Sarah Petway of McKenzie, TN; and a great-grandchild, Aiden Gonzalez of Philadelphia, PA. Besides her parents and husband, Emma was also preceded in death by three sisters: Jewell Robinson, Jenette Rymer, and Helen Hall; and a brother, Robert White. Visitation McEvoy Funeral Home, Inc.
