A graveside service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Thursday at Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors, visitation will be Thursday 3:00 until 3:45 at McEvoy Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife; Darlene Overton Yates, daughter; Julie (Joe) Perez, Hickman, KY, step-daugthers; Debbie (Steve Gibson) Falberg, Paris, TN, Melisha (Chris) O'Quinn, Wichendon, MA, sons; Donald Yates, Hickman, KY, Michael Yates, Louisiana, sisters; Betty Yates and Joyce (Gil) Nixon both of Chicago, Il, grandchildren; Doug Perez, Nicholas and Macy Yates, step-grandchildren; Josh (Katie) Gibson, Paris, TN, Ariel and Beth O'Quinn both of MA and a number of nieces and nephews, preceded by his parents; Pleasant D. and Beulah R. Lane Yates and a brother; Henry Yates. Mr. Yates was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, a retired roofing contractor and a Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era.
