Ernest D. Cronin of Buchanan, TN died at the age of 74 at his residence on Friday, January 5, 2024. His body is to be cremated and no services are scheduled at this time. Mr. Cronin was born June 23, 1949 in Tell City, Indiana to the late Selmer M. Cronin and the late Opal Virginia Sanders Cronin. He married Sadie "Faye" Decker Cronin on July 4, 1968 and she preceded him in death on August 2, 2015. He is survived by his daughter Kathy (John) Cronin of Tell City, Indiana; sons, Ernest (Kristen) Cronin, Jr., of Yorkville, Illinois and Shaun (Jordan) Cronin of Paris, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Kimberly, Heather, Hunter, Claire, Garrett, Elizabeth, Jax and Ethan Cronin; his great-grandchildren, Trenton, Greyson, Waverli Cronin; Connor and Mason Winters; Tia Murphy. Besides his parents and beloved wife, he is preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Eugene Cronin. Mr. Cronin enjoyed working with his hands and was known to be an excellent wood worker, able to build most anything. Pugsey and Toby were his loyal companions (dogs) and loved dearly for many years.
