Funeral service for Mr. Clayton will be Tuesday 2:00 PM McEvoy Chapel with Michael Key officiating burial will follow at Bevil Cemetery.
Visitation 4:00 - 8:00 Monday and after 12:00 Noon Tuesday until service time.
Named as pallbearers are: Jeremiah Clayton, Christopher Judd, Joe Clayton, Tracy Taylor, Tracy Taylor, Jr. and John Dale Conger, honorary pallbearers will be his great grandsons.
He married Evalee Hudson Clayton August 16, 1946, she survives in Paris, TN, also survived by a daughter: Donna (Tommy) Judd, Paris; sons: Tommy (Martha) Clayton and Gerald (Joanie) Clayton, both of Paris; sister: Geneva Conger, Paris; grandchildren: Melissa (Michael) Key, Fonda (Tracy) Taylor, Dustin Clayton, Angela Tate, Jeremiah Clayton, Chris Judd and Amanda Judd all of Paris; great-grandchildren: fifteen; great great-grandchildren: two; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Preceded by his father: Robert Johnson Clayton; mother: Noba Barnhill Green; step-father: Scott Green; four brothers: Ellis Clayton, J.D. Clayton, Elisha Clayton and Benny Joe Green and one grandchild.
Eulus was a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church. A veteran of WWII earning numerous medals, 4 bronze stars and a purple heart. He played in several local bands including "The Mis-Fits" and played for the local nursing homes.
