Evelyn Irene Atkins Waters

Mrs. Evelyn Irene Atkins Waters, age 75, of Paris, TN, formerly of Chicago, IL, died Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Paris Health Care Center. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Quinn Chapel AME Church, Rev. Bobby Carter will officiate. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday at the church from 12:00 noon until service time. Patrick D. Chase, Terrance D. Ransfer, Carrington A. Ransfer, Michael Waters, Charles Washum and Dondi Gardner will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Waters is survived by her husband; Leon Waters Jr., daughters; Annette Waters (Patrick) Chase, Clinton, MD, Felecia Waters (Terrance) Ransfer, Houston, TX, son; Michael (Angela) Waters, Virginia Beach VA, sister-in-law; Clara Coleman, Paris, TN, grandchildren; Carrington A. Ransfer, Houston, TX, Chandler D. Ransfer, Houston, TX, Whitney A. Waters, Virginia Beach, VA, Tralanenia Reeves, Baltimore, MD. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Evelyn is preceded in death by parents; Eugene Travis and Willie Agnes Atkins, sister; Mary Elizabeth Ervin, brother; Joe (Myrtle) Atkins, Sr., brother-in-law; Collin Watters, Thomas Coleman. Mrs. Waters was a graduate of Central High School class of 1953. She attended Triton Community College in Chicago, IL, and formerly worked as a supervisor at Milton Industries, Chicago, IL. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Chicago, IL, and attended Sparks Street Church of Christ in Paris, TN.
