Everett L. Hook, age 88 of Buchanan, TN passed away Monday December 12, 2016 at Henry County Medical Center, Paris, TN. Funeral service 2:30PM, Saturday, December 17, 2016 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Veazey officiating, burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery. His family will serve as pallbearers. Visitation 12:30PM Saturday December 17th until service time at 2:30PM. He was born May 13, 1928 in Hamilton County, IL to the late Alfred L. and Alta Emerson Hook. On July 27, 1951 he married Eileen Plopper Hook, she survives, Buchanan, TN. Survived by daughters: Monica (Mike) Taylor, Ozark, MO, Lisa Hook, Buchanan, TN, Gaile Berrier, Buchanan, TN; sons: Randall (Gayle) Hook, Brunswick, TN, Michael (Kaye) Hook, Olive Branch, MS; brothers: Virgil (Margie) Hook, Godfrey, IL, Bud (Carmen) Hook, Alton, IL; grandchildren: Jason (Megan) Tayalor, Jeanine Taylor, Bret (Beth) Taylor, Angie (Chris) Dalhoff, Sarah (John) Hill, Katy Hook; great-grandchildren: Ashley Taylor, Ryan Taylor, Jade Taylor, Kaiden Taylor, Hunter Taylor, Alex Dalhoff. Preceded by a brother: Eugene Hook. Mr. Hook was a 1946 Graduate from Alton High School in Alton, Illinois; U.S. Army Veteran from 1946 to 1948; graduated from the University of Illinois with B.S. in Electrical Engineering and from Washington University in St. Louis with a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Minor in Business Administration. Mr. Hook was a Baptist by faith. He was a member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering). He started his career with Wagner Electric in St. Louis for 22 years and retired with Siemens in Little Rock.
