Memorial service to be held at a later date. Mr. Smith formerly worked as an orderly in the healthcare industry until retirement after 25 years. He worked part time at Dominos Pizza in Memphis. He was a member of Brookside Baptist Church and drove the church bus. Floyd or "Jr." as friends called him was an avid square dancer and a charter member of the Bachelors and Bachelorettes. He was a member of Memphis Solo Club and Memphis Square Dance Association. He held office in all these clubs and mostly served as secretary and treasurer. He has been in Henry County for the past 4 years. He is survived by numerous cousins and was preceded by his parents: Floyd M. and Irene Sorrell Smith.
