Memorial service 11:00AM Saturday at the Sulphur Well Church of Christ with Bro. Randy Stephens officiating. Visitation 10:00AM until service time at the church. He was born in Paris, TN to the late Edward L. "Tickle" Thompson, Jr. and Virginia Hicks Thompson. On August 14, 1982 he married Patsy Rayburn Thompson, she survives in Springville, TN. Other survivors are a daughter: Christie M. (Jose) Meza, Radcliff, Ky; sister: Jane (Johnny) Gibson, Springville; brother: Tommy (Kathy) Thompson, Springville; grandchildren: Clayton Dale Cunningham, Alivia Michelle Cunningham and Kenzie Meza all of Radcliff, KY. Franklyn was a member of the Sulphur Well Church of Christ. Retired Director of W.G. Rhea Public Library (1980-1993)and Associate Professor of Art at Hopkinsville Community College in Hopkinsville, KY. He graduted in 1953 from E.W. Grove High School and received his Master of Arts Degree from Murray State University. Memorials may be made to: Imagination Library, %Connie McSwain, W.G.
