Funeral service 11:00AM Friday at McEvoy Funeral Home, burial will follow at Puryear City Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Tim Hester, Tim Boyd, Chris Coley, Steve Dean, John McElroy and Steve Page. Visitation 4:00 - 8:00PM Thursday and after 9:00AM Friday. He was the son of the late Earnest and Ruby Johnson Camper. He married Rita Kajer Camper June 4, 1960, she survives in Paris. Survived by a son: Robert Camper, Paris; sisters: Jean (Freddie) Hollis, Hornbeak, Martha Jo (Harland) Olson, Paris, Judy (Bernie) Lessard, Puryear, Wilma Sue Lepiscopo, Paris; brothers: Bennie Camper and Jerry Camper both of Puryear and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Preceded by a sister: Dorothy Grinder. Mr. Camper was in the U.S. Army from 1952-1955 serving in Korea and was a member of the AMVETS. He and Rita were married for 52 years and they were foster parents for 18 years. He was a very loving person who loved to fish and hunt.
