Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Springhill Baptist Church with Bro. Fred Shackelford officiating, burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Walter Flowers, Andy Sanders, Tim Swor, Jerry Taylor, Ron Taylor and Noah Ray Taylor. Clint Parrish and his great-grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home on Saturday with the visitation after 1:00 PM until service time Sunday at Springhill Baptist Church. He was born in Mansfield, TN to the late Cager Andrew and Cessie Mae Hoofman Sanders. August 8, 1946 he married Elizabeth Taylor Sanders, she preceded January 1, 2009. Survived by a daughter: Martha Parrish, Paris, TN; son: Fred Steven (Landra) Sanders, Paris, TN; sister: Betty Swor, Springville, TN; sisters-in-law: Hilda Sanders, Springville, TN, Violet Sanders, Paris, TN, Polly Taylor, Streamwood, IL; brother-in-law: W.C. Flowers, Jr., Springville, TN; grandchildren: Shannon (Mike) Black, SuzAnne (Danny,Jr.) Gordon, Clint Parrish; great-grandchildren: Jakob Gordon, Griffin Gordon, Cylie Elizabeth Parrish; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Preceded by a son-in-law: Ronnie Parrish, July 1999; sisters: Laverne Merrell, Lucille Flowers, Nonis Whikcar, Corene Ridley; six brothers: Richard, Floyd, Homer, Prince, Curtis and Earl Sanders. Mr. Sanders was a member of Springhill Baptist Church. A WWII Army Veteran of the 86 Infantry Division, a retired farmer and worked with the Milan Arsenal for 12 years.
