Fusako Nakano Cox was born March 1, 1929 in Sapparo Hokkaido Japan to Kinji and Mitsu Nakano; one of eight children. She came to the United States in July, 1953. Sue, as she was affectionately called, spent many years living in Bracken County, later moving to Carlisle, KY and retiring from Jockey. One of her proudest moments was in 1976 when she became a naturalized citizen of the United States. She leaves behind 4 children, Gayle (Hiram) Cooley of Paris TN, David (Nancy) Cox of Kernersville, NC, Ken Cox of Cincinnati, OH and Greg (Judith) Cox of Nashville TN. Also cherishing the memory of their Mamaw are 6 grandchildren, Belinda, Justin, Karla, Eric, Caleb and Sarah as well as 3 great grandchildren, MacKenzie, James, and Braxton. Services will be held Saturday at New Beginnings Church, Carlisle with Rev. Darrell Sexton officiating. Visitation at 10am and a celebration of life at 1pm. Burial will follow at Carlisle Cemetery.
