Funeral service 1:00PM Friday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Gallimore of TVCC officiating, burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Keith Wooley, Rob Frederick, Barry Smith, Jackie Smith, Bailey Wooley and Rex Smith. Visitation 4:00 - 8:00PM Thursday and after 11:00AM Friday. Survived by a brother: Daniel L. Smith, Paris; nieces: Traci (Keith) Wooley and Lori (Rob) Frederick; great-nieces: Autumn, Bailey and Colby Wooley and Maci Frederick; great-nephew: Jackson Frederick and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded by his parents: Leslie LeRoy and Marcie H. Wimberley Smith. Gary attended Bird's Creek Baptist Church. He was a 1968 graduate of Puryear High School, worked as a set-up man for Holley Carburetor of Paris and Chase Bag Industries in St. Louis. He returned to Paris and worked with his father on the family farm and taking care of rental property.
