Funeral service 2:00PM Thursday June 18, 2015 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Stephens officiating, burial will follow at Elkhorn Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Nicholas Burton, Mytchal Brown, Mark Wade, Tony Wade, Tim Wade and Kurt Stafford. Jim Adams will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Visitation 4:00 - 8:00PM Wednesday and after 12:00Noon Thursday until service time. Gayla was born in Memphis, TN to the late Gill Johnson, Jr. and Gloria Green Johnson. On October 19, 1985 she married Jeff Davis, he survives. Survived by daughters: Brittany (Nicholas) Burton, Mt. Juliet, TN, Shayla Davis, Springville, TN; sisters: Gina Johnson, Big Sandy, TN, Gwen (Charles) Hodge, Westport, TN, Grace Ann (Darryn) Brown, Stantonville, TN, Gidget Willis, Big Sandy, TN; grandchildren: Rylan and Nolan Burton, Michael Davis, Lathan Holland; mother-in-law: Shirley Davis, Springville, TN and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Preceded by her father-in-law: Charles Davis and a nephew. Mrs. Davis was a recent survivor of breast cancer.
