Mr. George Maynard Hohman age 79 of Paris, Tennessee passed away on Saturday February 18, 2017 at Paris Healthcare and Rehab. He is preceded in death by his parents William "Fay" Hohman and Beulah Johnston Hohman. George is survived by his wife: Jackye Marie Green Hohman of Paris, whom he married on January 26, 1958; two sons: Gregory (Shivani) Hohman, Van Nuys, California, Brian (Susan) Hohman, Quakertown, Pennsylvania; sister: Janet (James) LeBlanc, Widefield, Colorado; two brothers: William (Carol) Hohman, Peoria, Arizona, Edwin (Gloria) Hohman, Junction City, Kansas; and two grandchildren: Zachary and Trevor Hohman.
His memorial service is scheduled for 12:00 P.M. Saturday February 25, 2017 at McEvoy Funeral Home with family and friends conducting the service. Visitation is scheduled after 11:30 A.M. until service time at 12:00.
Mr. Hohman graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics. His career was spent in the computer industry working for Sperry-Univac, Schlumberger, and Unisys Corporation of Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. Upon retiring in 1994, George was Director of Voice Products for Unisys. After moving to Paris, Tennessee in 1995, he joined the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and became Commander of the former local Flotilla 8-10.
