George W. Knight, age 91 of Atwood, formerly of Paris, passed away Friday, April 3, 2020 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. There will be a private service for immediate family members only. George W. Knight was born July 21, 1928 in Henry County to the late Joe Knight and the late Sally Preston Knight. On April 15, 1950 he married Maudie Cecil Knight and she preceded him in death on October 28, 1995. Mr. Knight is survived by four daughters: Gail Haney of Benton Harbor, MI, Anna Laura (Jerry) Johnson and Sandra Darda both of Trezevant, and Janice Capps of Greenfield; four sons: Bobby Joe (Judy) Knight of McKenzie, George Edward (Glenda) Knight of McLemoresville, Aubrey Knight of Rutherford, and Carlton Knight of Milan; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Besides his parents and wife, Mr. Knight was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Barlow; four sisters: Lucy Stockdale, Laviniey Riley, Annie Bell Barlow, and Merltle Stockdale; and two brothers: General Knight and Robert Knight.
